What is the Violence Recovery Program?
The Violence Recovery Project (VRP) is a group for individuals desiring to create a safe and healthy family through understanding, taking responsibility for and changing abusive behaviors.

Who can use the services?
Anyone, male or female, who has inflicted some form of physical, sexual or emotional abuse against spouses, girlfriends/boyfriends, children, parents or other relatives or people they live with.

Individuals can attend voluntarily or by court order, referral from children services, probation officer or counselor. For more information, about participating in this program, contact Open Arms at 419-420-9261.

  • Did you know…In 2007:
    • VRP served 85 individuals in a group setting
    • VRP has six groups (three for men and three for women)
  • Program Success In 2007:
    • 100% of clients gained an understanding of and empathy for victims
    • 100% of clients were more educated about domestic violence
